Don Merrifield Jr. ABR

"All I can strive to be is the absolute best possible version of myself."

The Merrifield Family has been seeling real estate in Windsor Essex County for over 20 years, with over 60 years combined of real estate experience. Originally licensed in 2000 after working at a large financial institution in the Toronto area. I moved back to my home town of Windsor to work at the same RE/MAX Preferred Realty where my family has been for over 20 years. In 2001 I took the necessary educational courses and showed proof of enough experience in buyer represtation to receive the Accredited Buyer Representative designation for the Real Estate Buyers Agenst Council and National Association of Realtors out of Chicago. At the time I was the first Realtor to earn this designation in Windsor Essex County. People buying a home have to make sure their needs and interests are protected no less then a sellers. For decades Real Estate agents only legally representented the sellers. Even if an agent was taking you out and showing you houses they were legally obligated to work in the best interest of the seller. This changed in Canada around 2000 when Buyer Agency came into effect. That being said the same Realtors who had always been trained to represent sellers were now represeting buyers, but there was no madatory training on doing it properly. Thus the reason I took the training to make sure I had all the tools and knowledge to represent buyers best interests legally and properly.

Working at Windsor Essex County's #1 real estate company insures that you'll receive the maximum exposure for you home in todays market, and will provide buyers with all the latest tools and knowledge to make buying or selling a home a smooth process where you can be assured your best interests will be looked after.

The Non Real Estate Stuff:

I lived in Toronto for 11 years moving there originally to be a "rockstar" Well that didn't quite pan out, (yet), but I spent years playing around the Toronto music scene touring every small town you can imagine in Ontario. I still play and perform with various acts, and have played on a a couple bands cd's since moving back to Windsor.
