Windsor Real Estate Stats for 2010
December continued to see a decline in the number of residential sales from the previous months. The last half of 2010 has seen a slowed pace from the first half of the year. (HST Anyone). Sales were down 21% as compared to December of 2009, but still up from 2008. The number of homes listed for December was down 8.4% from the previous year. That being said the last half of 2009 saw a dramatic increase in the housing market in Windsor so the news is relative to a very hot market the previous year. Overall the Windsor Real Estate Market saw an increase of 6% in sales over the previous year and an increase in listings of 2%. The housing market has seen improvement the last 2 years in a row from the market lows of 2008. 2011 I believe will see some increases again with the recent job announcements, increased production at the Chrysler Assembly Plant, and Government Infrastructure Projects proposed to start in 2011 all helping build confidence in the Windsor Economy.
